　　After dealing with the repercussions of her actions from last year, DC Lisa Armstrong is given the opportunity to step up when asked to assist a murder investigation in Morecambe.

　　该剧根据弗兰克·塔利斯的小说改编，由《神探夏洛克》的编剧史蒂芬·汤普森负责撰写剧本，故事设定在20世纪的维也纳，讲述师从弗洛伊德的年轻医生Max协助奥地利警探Oskar破案的故事。Max对于人类行为的深入理解，让他为一些神秘莫测的案件提供了不一样的侦破角度。

　　在第二季中，法国侦探Julien Baptiste将调查一起新案件——Sam Webster（David Morrissey）和Gemma Webster（Keeley Hawes）的女儿Alice Webster（Abigail Hardingham）2003年在德国一座城市被人绑架，11年后有人看到她在同一座城市的大街上流浪。她的回归在当地社会引发一场地震，她的家人也陷入混乱。警方重启了案件调查工作，再次对绑匪展开搜捕。与此同时，Alice可能掌握着另一名失踪女孩Sophie Giroux的关键信息，当年负责调查Sophie失踪案的正是Julien。两年之后，Alice的父母Sam和Gemma变得沉默寡言，Alice的兄弟Matthew则越来越暴力、越来越孤僻。另一方面，Julien跟踪一条线索来到伊拉克，他相信自己很快就能找到女孩绑架案的实施者。第二季和第一季一样有两条并行发展的时间线（过去和现在）。(cr 天涯小筑)
