A dark surreal & satirical comedy about euthanasia. Gilda and Amadeu meet at an underground organization that claims to help the terminally ill kill themselves painlessly for a fee, as they try to bypass the fact euthanasia is illegal. But when they discover the workshop is just a money-making scam, they take matters into their own hands and go on a wild surreal adventure to finalize their plans, falling in love along the way.
2000年前的中国丝绸之路上，古国楼兰神秘消失，留下了千年谜团。20世纪30年代，考古学家文孝宸领导考古队再次前往西域探寻楼兰踪迹。在发掘过程中，文教授和日本学者安滕发现了一个关于楼兰王安归夫人墓地的线索木简。然而，他们的行动被沙漠悍匪“黑风”的头目马占魁暗中监视。马占魁曾因盗墓被文教授驱逐，因此对他心怀怨恨。风暴来袭，考古队撤退途中被“黑风”劫持，队员们惨遭杀害。文教授因拒绝交出木简被埋入沙土中，幸得大漠游侠彭仲雄救助，彭与马占魁宿怨，因此全力保护文教授。数月后，安滕回到南京，得到资助的日本浪人指示他再次前往楼兰，并派人追捕文教授，图谋独占木简。 文教授之女文兰也赶到楼兰。马占魁发现文教授的行踪后，策划了新的阴谋。在彭仲雄护送文氏父女返回北平途中，他们遭遇日本忍者阻击，木简被“黑风”抢走。文教授决心再次进入楼兰，揭开谜团。马占魁根据文教授的思路设置陷阱，在古堡中，文氏父女和彭仲雄被“黑风”包围。格斗中，彭发现了失踪多年的师弟田云鹏，两人联手击退了“黑风”匪徒。马占魁不断追击文教授一行，最终在雅丹地区截住他们。马占魁得知日本人已经掘开了安归夫人的墓后，迅速前往楼兰。文教授一行也赶到楼兰，最终找到“九环神木”墓地，却发现安归夫人的木乃伊已经不见，只留下安滕的尸体。
