一心工作的主人公平山幸之助（小日向文世 饰）从长年工作的公司退休。期待着与妻子史枝（户田惠子 饰）一起度过安稳的余生。但是，身为家庭主妇的史枝，却有著“开书吧”的隐秘梦想。史枝想用幸之助的退职金开一家咖啡馆，幸之助对此强烈反对。史枝试着说服幸之助，但幸之助根本听不进去。以此为契机，演变成将家人卷入的离婚问题……
