Agnese lives in an isolated house in the middle of the hills. She cultivates her garden in the sunlight and lives a quiet life of routine in the company of a mysterious guest she keeps locked in a room in the darkness of her house.

A young nurse called Ana arrives at a small village where she is supposed to take care of a woman in a coma, Sara. Her husband, Augustin, picks her up and takes her to the mansion where Sara is, while explaining her what happen to his wife. But Ana’s job as a care provider soon presents itself with unexpected and mysterious challenges. Czech actor-turned-director Jiří Mádl has wrapped shooting on his third fiction feature, Waves, which centres on the turbulent period of the Warsaw Pact invasion, a seminal moment in modern Czechoslovak history. The period drama is inspired by real-life correspondents from the Czechoslovak Radio International Bureau during the late 1960s. The film, set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Prague Spring and the 1968 invasion, tells the story of two brothers navigating the challenges of the period. The protagonists are Tomáš and his younger sibling, who find themselves in the midst of the 1968 May Day Parade outside the Czech Radio building, where the film crew has been shooting some scenes. The foreign radio department was known for independent news reporting despite the prevalent censorship. However, the blossoming of the communist regime will soon be abruptly halted by the Warsaw Pact tanks.

For decades of using ruqyah to help people, Ustadz Qodrat failed to ruqyah his son, Alif Al-Fatanah, possessed by a demon named Assuala. Looking for answers to his worries, Qodrat returns to the boarding school in the village where he studied. He finds the place is no longer what it used to be, with unexplained disturbances.
