本片标志着导演卢西奥·弗尔兹（Lucio Fulci）代表作的出现。几名男孩在意大利南部一个乡下小镇被杀害，发疯的吉普赛女人和变态的年轻女子都很可疑，嫌疑犯日益增多直至整个小镇面临着自我毁灭，这一切正是误人的宗教与迷信所致。片中骇人的暴力场景在于，当村里几名男村民要吉普赛女人为他们的孩子负责，决定亲手将她绳之以法的时候，场面可想而知的残忍。

一个邪恶的男人在与年轻女子发生风流韵事后杀死了她们。得知此事后，他的四个朋友将他逮捕并电刑处死。但他死后化作历鬼，开始一个接一个报复他们和他们的家人。

英国人类学家克里斯（克里斯托弗·李 Christopher Lee 饰）在中国东北地区发现一个冷冻的人型怪物，并将它带上前往欧洲的列车。然而，在半途中，这个怪物解冻并开始猎杀列车上的乘客，吸取他们的脑浆，导致了恐怖的场面。

琵卡和雅罗来到一间日惹郊区的牙科诊所实习，有天一名神秘的长发女子在深夜造访，使她们被迫面对过往一桩上吊事件，过程中琵卡似乎遭到附身，诊所的黑暗秘密也将随之揭开…。

A young nurse called Ana arrives at a small village where she is supposed to take care of a woman in a coma, Sara. Her husband, Augustin, picks her up and takes her to the mansion where Sara is, while explaining her what happen to his wife. But Ana’s job as a care provider soon presents itself with unexpected and mysterious challenges. Since his father found a mysterious package and heard the eerie sounds of an indigenous tribe, ARDI and his family have experienced strange events. SUCIPTO (his father), MARNI (his mother), and ARIF (his younger brother) all fell ill, one by one. For decades of using ruqyah to help people, Ustadz Qodrat failed to ruqyah his son, Alif Al-Fatanah, possessed by a demon named Assuala. Looking for answers to his worries, Qodrat returns to the boarding school in the village where he studied. He finds the place is no longer what it used to be, with unexplained disturbances. Qodrat is again faced with the trauma of having to ruqyah Alif Amri, Yasmin's youngest child, whom he cannot refuse because of the similarity of his name to his late son. In a soul-crushing test, Qodrat again faces the fury of Assuala. Qodrat has to choose between obeying his anger or re-finding his faith.

A game of hide-and-seek by children in a haunted old house takes a horrific turn when one of them never returns after his turn to hide.

In the early 20th century, is in Lobosandaus, a small town in the raia seca region, on the border between Galicia and Portugal. No sooner has the teacher, played by Tamar Novas (The Mess You Leave Behind), arrived than he senses how mystery and death naturally coexist in the everyday lives of the residents of this stark, rugged place. But the teacher, from his standpoint of rationalism and science, will be confronted by a communal belief held by the local population: that the spirits of the dead can manifest themselves and remain among the residents, as they inhabit other bodies.
